We often see transgender people in different phases of their lives. It is important that the connection and 'feeling' with the pelvic floor and pelvic area are present, so that urinating, defecating and making love goes without problems.
Pre-operatively it is nice to know what the functions of the pelvic floor are and that you can consciously steer on the functions. This makes recovery to control of the pelvic floor easier after surgery.
Post-operatively, after the recovery period, it is often pleasant to go through the functions of the pelvic floor. Urinating, defecating and making love works differently than before the operation. It can be nice to 're-practice' the connection with the pelvic area.
